Jose Chagnon Identified As Husband Accused of Killing Wife in Avondale Home

In an Avondale neighborhood, a man has been taken into custody for reportedly murdering his wife following a lengthy barricade situation that lasted for several hours.

On May 30, authorities were summoned to a residence in the vicinity of 119th Avenue and Buckeye following a report of gunshots and a female’s cries for help.

According to the police, an additional witness reported seeing a male shoot a female in the same area while officers were responding.

According to reports, 53-year-old Jose Chagnon had barricaded himself inside the home by the time authorities arrived on the scene.

In a recent development, it has been reported that a woman named Amalia Raouf Ishak, aged 29, has been shot, according to the police. The incident involves her husband, Jose Chagnon. The woman was extracted from the scene by officers and taken to the hospital.

According to reports, Ishak succumbed to her injuries and passed away.

According to the police, Chagnon surrendered peacefully after a few hours.

A 53-year-old individual has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder, aggravated assault, kidnapping, and endangerment. They have been booked into jail.

The events leading up to the shooting remain unknown.
