Jaden Hullaby from the North Texas area who was earlier reported missing by friends and family has now been located deceased.
The University of Texas revealed in a statement on Monday that a former North Texas-area football player had passed away.
Third-year college student Jaden Hullaby had played at Texas before moving to New Mexico.
“It’s such devastating and tragic news to hear of Jaden’s passing,” Texas coach Steve Sarkisian said in the statement. “He was a great person and someone we all enjoyed being around, coaching and spending time with. All of our thoughts are with his family, friends and teammates, and we want to send our deepest condolences to them in a such a difficult time.”
According to Hullaby’s relatives, he vanished last week from the Dallas region.
Hullaby attended Bishop Dunne High School, where he won a state championship, and Mansfield Timberview High School, where he played linebacker and tight end in college. In 2019, as a senior at Timberview, he was an all-district quarterback.
