San Antonio Rapper Adam Glass Killed in North Star Mall Barbershop; Suspect Update

On Monday, San Antonio police gave a brief update regarding the execution-style killing that occurred at North Star Mall over the weekend.

At approximately 3 p.m. on Sunday, a man was fatally shot while receiving a haircut at the mall, resulting in a state of chaos. In a video captured by a viewer, dozens of individuals were seen running away in a state of panic, while others sought refuge inside nearby stores.

According to reports, the individual who was shot has been identified as Adam Glass, a 33-year-old rapper who performed under the name “Glizzy.”

A GoFundMe campaign has been set up by Glass’s mother to raise funds for his funeral. According to her statement on the page, she expressed that Adam was deeply cherished by those he interacted with and remained blessed despite any challenges he faced.

He ensured that others had it, even if he didn’t. The individual remained steadfast and exhibited fervor in his pursuit of creating music.

When questioned by reporters, San Antonio Police Chief William McManus declined to disclose certain details of the investigation.

According to McManus, surveillance footage has revealed that two unidentified individuals were dropped off and subsequently entered the barbershop.

According to reports, the suspect is described as a thin-built black male who was last seen wearing a black hoodie and light-colored shorts. According to eyewitnesses, the male suspect was dressed in a black hoodie and dark-colored pants.

According to McManus, the suspects made a getaway in a car, but details regarding the vehicle were not disclosed.

McManus emphasized the need for accountability when discussing the recent series of gun-related fatalities. The individual stated that those who engage in criminal activities must face the consequences for their actions.

According to reports, Bennie Price, the founder of Big Mama’s Safe House, spent 23 years behind bars for a murder conviction. At the age of 15, Price found himself in prison due to a life of drug dealing. After serving a sentence of nearly 100 years, he was granted parole in 2016.

Since then, he has been actively collaborating with the community to find solutions for decreasing gun violence. According to Price, the emphasis is on young individuals who are raised in an environment of gang activity and criminal behavior.

According to Price, gun violence is not limited to a specific area. According to the speaker, efforts are being made to tackle the underlying causes of gun violence, such as poverty, inadequate education, and single-parent households. The aim is to ensure that young people are guided towards a positive path.

Big Mama’s Safe House is currently seeking volunteers to assist with its outreach programs.

The G.R.E.A.T. Program utilizes outreach workers to act as mentors and positive role models for youth who are at risk of gang involvement. The program offers a range of services including tutoring, employment training, housing assistance, and food support.

A rally is scheduled to take place in the San Antonio community at 7 p.m. on June 9, in response to the recent incidents of gun violence. The purpose of the rally is to protest against these incidents.

The “No More Violence Peace March and Rally” is set to commence at the intersection of Walters and East Houston Street.
