6 displaced in apartment fire as Hamilton fire crews rescue resident

According to Hamilton fire crews, a male resident was rescued from the second story of a burning apartment building in the early hours of Thursday.

A hospital in Hamilton under the Kettering Health network received a patient who was transported there. According to reports, the individual’s injuries are not considered life-threatening as he remained conscious and was able to descend the fire ladder unassisted.

As per the fire department, a total of six residents residing in the building located on Beth Lane have been displaced.

As fire crews investigate the cause, the American Red Cross is responding.

Multiple fire crews, including those from Hamilton, Fairfield Township, and Liberty Township, responded to the scene earlier.

At 2:59 a.m., a blaze was reported by a resident.

According to initial emergency Butler County communication reports, flames have spread from a second-story apartment, engulfing the third floor and the roof.
