Salinas Fatal Shooting: Christian Jimenez Identified as Victim Killed in Salinas Shooting Incidence
Salinas Fatal Shooting: The local police have detained one person and are aggressively looking for another suspect in connection with a shooting incident that happened last weekend in Salinas’ Alisal district.
Following the execution of a warrant, Abel Juan Perez, 23, was captured on Tuesday in Gonzales, a city about 15 miles south of Salinas.
The unfortunate incident allegedly occurred on May 20 at around 10:15 a.m. in the driveway of an apartment building at 824 Garner Avenue in Salinas when Perez and an accomplice are accused of firing shots at two people.
Tragically, Christian Jimenez perished in the incident, while two other people were hurt.
He was quickly taken to a trauma facility, but tragically died as a result of his wounds.
Multiple gunshot wounds required Christian Jimenez, a 21-year-old, to receive emergency care at a trauma hospital.
Sadly, despite the medical staff’s best efforts, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and died.
Abel Juan Perez was detained on Wednesday, according to the authorities, and is currently being held at the Monterey County Jail.
According to the Monterey County Jail, he is accused of being a felon in possession of a handgun, one crime of murder, two counts of attempted murder, and possessing a machine gun.
