An arrest has been made by Toronto police following a fatal stabbing incident that occurred in downtown Toronto on Monday.
According to police reports, an altercation occurred between two men in the vicinity of Charles and Yonge streets at approximately 4:15 p.m. During the altercation, one of the men used a sharp-edged weapon to stab the other.
The victim was taken to the hospital and was later declared deceased.
Marcus Roberts, aged 39 and hailing from Toronto, has been identified.
Toronto police have made an arrest in connection with a first-degree murder case. The suspect, identified as Markland Watt, 49, was taken into custody on Tuesday.
In recent news, a man was fatally stabbed in the Yonge-Dundas Square area just days prior.
A 40-year-old man named Richard Sasaki was fatally stabbed in front of a city-run supervised injection site on Victoria Street on May 12th, Friday, just before 2 p.m.
