On Saturday, authorities identified a 23-year-old man as the victim of a deadly shooting that occurred on Friday in Louisville’s Park Duvalle neighborhood.
According to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office, Javon Bailey was pronounced dead at University of Louisville Hospital due to multiple gunshot wounds.
According to Louisville Metro Police Major Russ Miller, a shooting occurred around 2 p.m. on Friday at Olive Street, located in close proximity to West Gaulbert Avenue.
Upon the arrival of the officers, Bailey was discovered to have sustained multiple gunshot wounds. CPR was administered by officers until the arrival of an ambulance. According to sources, Bailey was transported to University Hospital where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
On Friday, a nearby resident reported that he was in his kitchen when he heard gunshots outside. According to his statement, his nephew Bailey was shot while mowing the lawn.
According to the witness, they were in the kitchen when an individual entered the premises and declared, “Got shot, call 911.”
According to reports, Brian Horton made a statement. According to eyewitnesses, the individual in question immediately dialed 911 and entered the premises in a state of urgency. Witnesses reported hearing a series of loud, rapid noises.
