Jalen Henderson Identified As the Victim of Shooting on Florence Avenue

Lexington police have reported that a man named Jalen Henderson, aged 19, died at the site of a shooting on Florence Avenue, located near the Lexington Cemetery.

The victim of the incident has been identified as Jalen Henderson, according to a statement released by the Fayette County Coroner’s Office. According to official reports, the cause of death has been ruled as a homicide.

The eighth homicide of the year has been reported. As per the coroner’s report, the individual passed away due to a gunshot wound on Monday at approximately 3:15 a.m. The incident occurred at the Florence Avenue location.

Late Sunday night at 10:30 p.m., another male victim was shot on this block. As per the police, the victim’s injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening, and he was immediately transported to the hospital.

According to police, an investigation is underway to determine if the two incidents are linked. Currently, there is no available information regarding the suspect, and an investigation is currently in progress.
