Chase Stafford Identified As Missing Woman’s Body Found At The Cumberland River

Authorities have confirmed that a 25-year-old woman has disappeared in Cheatham County. Her body was later recovered from the Cumberland River below the Cheatham Dam on Thursday morning.

Officials have reported that 25-year-old Chase Stafford was discovered deceased in the Cumberland River beneath Cheatham Dam in Ashland City, Tennessee on Thursday.

According to the Cheetham County Sheriff’s Office, Stafford’s last sighting was on May 10th after being left on a road in Ashland City.

According to deputies, later in the day, a backpack was discovered on a city highway, which contained the personal belongings of the individual, including a mobile phone and glasses.

According to officials, Stafford’s body was discovered beneath debris that had gathered in front of the dam.

As per a Facebook post by the sheriff’s office, the body of the deceased individual was able to surface during the regular clearing of debris by opening floodgates.

According to the sheriff’s office, the cause and nature of death have yet to be determined.
