The victim of a double-fatal vehicle crash on Tuesday night has been identified as Cameron Bohannon, a student at McMinn County High School from Athens, Tennessee.
In a tragic incident on Tuesday night in Athens, 18-year-old Bohannon lost his life in a vehicle crash that also involved three other students.
As per reports, Bohannon was scheduled to mark his birthday tomorrow, in addition to graduating.
No additional information regarding the crash was disclosed.
According to the school, the following statement has been issued.
Four McMinn County High School students were involved in an automobile accident on Tuesday evening. Tragically, it has been reported that two students have passed away. The community is asked to keep the family, friends, and other students affected by the accident in their thoughts and prayers as they mourn the loss.
As of now, no further details regarding the arrangements have been disclosed. However, updates will be provided as soon as they are made available. According to reports, the MCHS School Counselors are currently stationed in the New Conference Room and are ready to provide assistance to any student or staff member who requires support during this period.
The counseling services offered by the organization are also available to seniors. According to school officials, students are being requested to check in through the front office upon their arrival on campus.
The identity of the second student who was killed has not yet been disclosed.
Officials did not provide information on the condition of the two other students involved in the wreck.
The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
