83 Years Old Man Arrested In Fatal Shooting Of A Man Near an Amazon Fresh Grocery Store in the Westchester

According to the Los Angeles police, an 80-year-old man engaged in a physical altercation with a 30-year-old man at an Amazon Fresh store located in southwest Los Angeles on Tuesday. The elderly man reportedly shot the younger man, resulting in his death.

Late Tuesday afternoon, the LAPD reported that a suspect in their eighties had been arrested.

At approximately 4:05 p.m., a shooting was reported in the 6800 block of La Cienega Boulevard.

According to police, a dispute between the victim and the suspect occurred in the parking lot over a woman. According to authorities, the dispute between the two individuals intensified and eventually led to the suspect brandishing a handgun and firing a single shot at the victim.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The officials have not yet released his identity.

The suspect has been taken into police custody shortly after the incident. At this time, no additional information has been made available.
