Bathurst St. Pats RLFC stalwart, Luke Bennett dies in tragic car crash

Luke was a long-term and valued sponsor and supporter of Bathurst St. Pats RLFC.

On Thursday, the club announced Luke’s tragic death via a statement shared on Social media.

“Bathurst St. Pat RLFC has lost a valued member of our Club. Former player and current sponsor Luke Bennett tragically lost his life in a motor vehicle accident last week,” the statement read.

No further details was released concerning the crash.

Luke played for St. Pats for several seasons including a 1st Grade Premiership in 2001, playing in the front row. Once retired from Rugby League, Luke became a long-term and valued sponsor and supporter of Bathurst St. Pats RLFC.
