Woman killed, teen injured in multi-vehicle collision on the Princes Freeway at Darnum

Three automobiles and a small truck were involved in a deadly collision on the Princes Freeway in Darnum, east of Melbourne, which resulted in the death of a woman.

Around 8:40 am, according to the police, a collision happened on the motorway at the Bona Vista Road exit.

The woman, who had not yet been officially recognized and was a passenger in a Jeep four-wheel drive, passed away there.

The Jeep’s 32-year-old female driver was airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries. A teenage girl with significant injuries who was riding in the back seat was taken to the hospital.

Paramedics evaluated two guys at the site who were in a second car.

A third vehicle’s female driver was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening wounds. Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit are conducting an investigation there.

The truck driver is allegedly helping the police with their inquiries.
