Victims In Belmont Fire Identified As Two Children

Two young children lost their lives in a house fire this afternoon at Belmont, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara. The incident was devastating.

According to sources, the victims of the incident have been identified as Anamika Hardt, a 9-year-old girl, and another child whose name is currently unknown but is believed to be approximately 3 years old.

At around 1:00 pm, a fire erupted and quickly spread throughout the house, leaving the children trapped inside. Fire and rescue teams were deployed to the scene by authorities in a swift response to the emergency.

Despite diligent efforts, the fire had already spread extensively, posing a challenge to reach the trapped children in time. The young victims tragically perished in the flames before any rescue attempts could be made.
