Traffic Enforcer Angela Garcia And Emily Polidario Identified As The Victims Of Fatal Crash In Cebu City

In a recent incident that occurred on Friday, June 9, 2023, a traffic enforcer and an elderly woman were injured after being struck by an SUV while crossing the national road in Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City.

Traffic enforcer Angela Garcia, aged 50, and Emily Polidario, aged 63, have been identified as the victims.

According to Staff Sergeant Alfredo Macabudbud, a traffic investigator from Inayawan Police Station 7, Garcia was assisting Polidario in crossing the street when a Toyota Fortuner driven by Ian Yap Maurin, 51, from Pinamungahan town in midwest Cebu collided with them.

According to Macabudbud, Maurin was allegedly in a rush and failed to notice the two victims due to the sun’s glare affecting his eyesight.
