Sam Dickson Obituary: According to an online obituary posted on Friday, May 26, 2023, Son of Former Arks Player Alex Dickson and Brother of New Zealand Rugby Star, Sam Dickson has passed away unexpectedly. However, the cause of death was not disclosed.

Otago University Rugby Football Club share the devastating news on their official Facebook page saying;

“It is with a heavy heart that today we bid farewell to Sam Dickson, Sam fought a long battle and sadly passed away last night surrounded by his family. As a club and community our heartfelt support and prayers go out to the Dickson family during this hard time.
Tomorrow, we will have a minute of silence before each of our games and our A’s team will be retiring the 6 jersey for the game as a sign of respect for Sam who previously had wore this.”
