According to police, a 63-year-old woman was found shot to death on the kitchen floor of her home Sunday afternoon, and a Manassas man is now being charged with murder.
At approximately 4:30 p.m., the Prince William County Police Department received a call and dispatched officers to a residence located in the 7900 block of Minor Hill Road in Manassas. The purpose of their visit was to investigate a reported death.
According to police, a 63-year-old woman, who is also a landlord, was discovered unconscious on the kitchen floor after a 9-1-1 caller reported the incident. Upon arriving at the residence, law enforcement officials uncovered that a female had sustained a gunshot wound.
According to reports, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
As per police investigation, an altercation occurred between the victim and another tenant of the home, identified as 61-year-old Roger Allen Foote Jr. According to police, Foote shot the woman during the argument.
According to officials, Fairfax County police arrested Foote at around 6:30 a.m. on May 22.
