In loving memory of Fort Pierre, SD boy killed in tragic Stanley County crash

14-year-old River Ludemann died after a one-vehicle accident near Fort Pierre on Saturday.

In accordance with a news release, the incident occurred on Saturday night at about 9:30 p.m. in an off-road vehicle area along Highway 1806 south of the Oahe Dam.

Limited information is available while the accident is being investigated.

The victim, who was in a Jeep at the time of the collision, was taken by AMR Ambulance Service to Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, where he passed away from his injuries, according to a Stanley County Deputy Sheriff.
