According to authorities, a residence in northern Idaho was the site of a tragic incident in which a 33-year-old pregnant woman and her toddler son were discovered deceased due to gunshot wounds.
According to a Facebook announcement by Shoshone County Sheriff Holly Lindsey, deputies were dispatched to a residence at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday in response to a reported death. The bodies of Elizabeth Lawley and her 2-year-old son were discovered at the location.
According to the sheriff, a preliminary investigation suggests that Lawley shot and killed the boy before turning the gun on herself. Both individuals were found with gunshot wounds.
According to news reports, the sheriff stated that Lawley was pregnant.
According to Lindsey, who has served in Shoshone County for 19 years, the sheriff’s office is currently experiencing a level of solemnity and devastation unlike any she has witnessed before.
