Darriuz Mc Donald Identified As Victim Shot Near His Residence

On Tuesday, May 16th, 2023, a 23-year-old man from Freeport was hospitalized after being shot near his residence.

The victim has been identified as Darriuz Mc Donald of Mingal Trace, Orange Field Road Carapichima.

According to reports, McDonald was shot by an unidentified man who approached him around 12:30 am while he was standing on the roadway near his residence. According to reports, the suspect fled in a northerly direction along Mungal Trace.

The victim was transported to the Couva District Health Facility by his brother for medical attention after sustaining gunshot wounds to his left arm and leg.

The incident is currently being investigated by WPC Joseph from the Freeport CID.
