Aurora, Illinois Man, James Moriarty Identified as Victim Killed by Police in Kane County After Chase
James Moriarty Death: The man who was shot and killed by police in Kane County earlier this week has been identified.
According to the Kane County Coroner’s Office, James Moriarty, 38, of Aurora, died from numerous gunshot wounds.
Moriarty’s death followed a carjacking that on Wednesday caused Randall Road and Fabyan Parkway to be closed due to a police chase and crash.
The Kane County Sheriff’s Office reported that the stolen car’s driver exited the vehicle brandishing a pistol.
After being released, Hudson the K9 bit the suspect. He was slain after the officers engaged in a gunfight in the center of the junction.
The dog also perished.
Nobody in the audience was hurt.
