Arthur Jensen Identified As Suspect in the Murder of Adara Bunn; Charges Explained

In Illinois, Arthur Jensen, aged 53, has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the murder of a 17-year-old girl. Jensen had enticed the victim to his home by offering to sell her Disney cups.

Arthur Jensen, 53, of Sheldon, has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for the murder of Adara Bunn on August 5, 2019, as reported by the Iroquois County State’s Attorney’s Office. The sentence was handed down by Iroquois County Circuit Court Judge Michael Sabol on Monday.

According to Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Quinlan, jurors have convicted him of two counts of first-degree murder in March. The charges were related to the strangulation of a teenager who had visited his home.

According to Quinlan, this is one of the most severe murder cases he has ever witnessed. According to Quinlan, on August 2nd, Bunn and her mother attended a garage sale at Jensen’s residence.

According to the individual, who identifies as a collector of Disney memorabilia, they purchased a set of Pocahontas cups.

According to Quinlan, the victim returned to the Jensen residence on Sunday with the intention of speaking to Jensen’s wife about purchasing additional memorabilia. According to Quinlan, Jensen’s wife was not in town as she was attending her high school reunion.

Jensen and a companion were seen wrapping up the remaining items from their garage sale. During the process, Jensen reportedly instructed Bunn to return at a later time if they were interested in purchasing Pocahontas cups.

On Monday, August 5th, Bunn reportedly returned to Jensen’s residence to purchase cups. However, instead of completing the transaction, he allegedly committed a heinous act and took her life.

Police have reported that the crime was brought to their attention after neighbors heard screams emanating from Jensen’s residence.

Prosecutors stated that upon the officers’ arrival, Jensen informed them that there was a girl inside and that he had strangled her. Bunn’s deceased body was discovered by the police inside the residence, leading to the immediate arrest of Jensen by the officers.

According to him, the individual in question was a young girl who was set to begin her junior year in a few weeks. The subject of our story was a high-achieving student with a perfect academic record, aiming to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
