3-truck Smashup Injures Two In Pasay

On Monday night, a 22-wheeler trailer truck collided with two tow trucks on the Buendia flyover along Roxas Boulevard in Pasay, resulting in injuries to two individuals.

According to a police report from Pasay City, the two individuals who were trapped inside their vehicle have been identified as tow truck driver Rodrigo Delemus and his companion Angel Banigued.

According to Rochelle Purificacion, team leader of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) road emergency group, a trailer truck carrying coil sheet had stalled and was being towed by two tow trucks from the Pasay traffic bureau. This information was reported to The STAR.

According to her statement, the trailer truck slid into the tow trucks as it was descending the Buendia flyover due to its weight. Heavy traffic was caused in the area due to the accident.

The victims were extricated from the trailer truck by rescuers after a four-hour operation.

According to Purificacion, Delemus was rushed to the Pasay City General Hospital by the Pasay rescue team.

According to Charlie Nosares from the MMDA Metrobase, the flyover was cleared yesterday at 11:30 a.m.

In the accident, a lamppost and four plant boxes were damaged.
