Victim of Crash With TARC Bus On Preston Highway Identified

According to the coroner, the woman who died in a collision with a TARC bus on Friday has been identified.

At 10:20 a.m. on Friday, Melissa Boyd, aged 55, was declared dead due to blunt force trauma at UofL Hospital.

At approximately 9:30 a.m., an incident occurred on Preston Highway at Packard Avenue.

According to the Louisville Metro Police, at the time of the incident, it was observed that Boyd was driving southbound. However, for reasons unknown, she collided with the rear of a TARC bus that was stationary at a bus stop.

According to reports, Boyd was alone in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

There were no reported injuries among the passengers on the bus.
