Three killed in Friday night crash involving Steer near Coffeeville

21-year-old Colton Bond of Edna, Kansas, and family members, 81-year-old Jimmy Bond and 79-year-old Barbara Bond, were all killed in the crash near Coffeeville on Friday night.

In a crash with a Steer in the road, Colton Bond, 21, and family members Jimmy Bond, 81, and Barbara Bond, 79, died near Coffeeville on Friday night.

According to accounts, at approximately 11:46 p.m. on Friday, the family was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck on US-166 about six miles east of Coffeeville when it collided with a steer in the road. The truck then veered across the middle line and collided directly with a semi-tractor.

The family’s blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the collision were declared fatal.
