Suspect, victim identified in Port St Lucie murder-suicide

According to Port St. Lucie police, a man and woman were discovered dead in a house in what may have been a murder-suicide while a wailing baby was left unhurt.

According to a news release from Lt. Keith Boham, a family member of a guy residing at the Peacock Run apartments in the 5500 block of Northwest East Torino Parkway, west of Florida’s Turnpike, requested that police check on his wellbeing at around 11:45 a.m.

Officers arrived to find the house locked, but they could hear a baby wailing inside.

Officers observed two adults inside through a back sliding door who seemed to be dead, according to Boham.

Police from Port St. Lucie broke down the barred home door and removed the wailing baby from its cradle. The baby is now staying with a relative. The child’s sex was not disclosed.

Detectives from the major crimes section, crime scene investigators, and police officers were still conducting an investigation there on Saturday night.

Investigators think the man killed a woman before killing himself in a sexual relationship.
