According to court documents, the man who stands accused of shooting and killing a woman in Tacoma reportedly discharged the firearm during a dispute with the victim over funds for gasoline.
A woman was discovered with a gunshot wound to the head near the Popeyes on N. Junett Street by Tacoma Police officers on May 15, shortly before 8 p.m. A 28-year-old woman was transported to the hospital and later declared deceased.
According to reports, the woman’s boyfriend, who was present during the shooting, provided a statement to law enforcement officials detailing the events that transpired.
According to the individual, he and his girlfriend were in her vehicle when they noticed they were being followed by the suspect. They reported the incident to the authorities.
According to court documents, the suspect was driving the victim’s boyfriend’s vehicle. The boyfriend had reportedly been attempting to retrieve his vehicle by contacting the suspect.
According to reports, the individuals in question made a stop to acquire sustenance, and it appears that the alleged perpetrator also proceeded to do the same.
An argument erupted among the three individuals regarding funds for gasoline. According to court documents, the victim was shot in the head by the suspect with a pistol as soon as the pair stepped out of the car.
According to the victim’s boyfriend, the suspect responsible for the incident has been identified as 37-year-old Bobby Joe Ezra Plain.
As per court documents, it has been revealed that Plain was under active DOC supervision while being out of jail.
The accused individual is facing charges of two counts of second-degree murder and first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm. According to reports, Plain, a convicted felon, is prohibited from owning or possessing a firearm.
On Wednesday, he made his debut appearance.
