According to Lt. Aimee Earl, an investigator for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner, the body of 42-year-old Christy Lee Anderson was discovered on the 22900 block of Sherman Way in West Hills.
On Saturday evening, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department requested public assistance in locating Anderson, who was initially reported missing.
According to reports, the individual was last spotted on Thursday around 3 p.m. in the vicinity of the 27400 block of Cherry Creek Drive in Valencia. It is believed that the person may have been operating a blue 2018 Chevrolet Colorado at the time of their disappearance.
According to the coroner’s office, the date of death for the deceased woman was Saturday, which coincides with the day the Sheriff’s Department issued a “Be on the Lookout” notice. However, it remains unclear whether her body was discovered on the same day. According to the coroner’s case detail, Anderson’s body was discovered on the street.
According to Mark O’Donnell, a detective with the L.A. Police Department’s Valley Homicide Bureau, the death of Anderson is not currently being treated as a homicide and there is no indication of any wrongdoing.
According to Earl, the medical examiner has deferred the cause of death, indicating that an official cause of death is still pending.
