In response to the shooting of a broadcaster in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro this morning, the Police Regional Office (PRO) MIMAROPA has formed a Special Investigation Task Group to conduct a thorough investigation.
According to PRO MIMAROPA Regional Director Brig Gen Joel Doria, a Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) has been formed. The SITG is comprised of seasoned investigators from the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, with Col Samuel Delorino at the helm.
According to a police report, a shooting incident occurred in Barangay Sta. Isabel of the city, resulting in the injury of a 50-year-old victim identified as Cresenciano Bundoquin, also known as Cris. The victim was reportedly shot in front of his store located along C5 Road.
Meet Bundoquin, a radio commentator at DWXR 101.7 Kalahi FM and the owner of MUX Online Radio, where he also hosts a program.
According to the report, the victim was shot by an individual who approached them after arriving at the store on a motorcycle (White Honda XRM 125 with plate number DD 22153).
The victim was rushed to the nearest hospital but was declared dead-on-arrival.
According to reports, the gunman has been confirmed deceased and authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
The motorcyclist has reportedly fled the scene and is currently the focus of a police search operation.
The speaker stated that they are taking the incident very seriously and will do everything possible to ensure that justice is served for the death of Bundoquin. The speaker implores members of the public who possess any information related to the incident to step forward and assist in hastening its resolution. Doria stated.
According to Doria, she has urged individuals who possess any details regarding the occurrence to step forward and collaborate with law enforcement.
