Obi’s team submitted EC40G forms from ten Local Government Areas in Niger State to the court. These forms, employed by INEC, record the total number of polling units where voting was either cancelled or rendered impossible.
The proceedings at the Tribunal commenced today with Peter Obi’s case against INEC, Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima, and the All Progressives Congress (APC). Alongside the EC40G forms, Obi also provided five certified true copies of INEC reports from Niger State.
Notably, during a previous hearing, Obi had submitted additional INEC documents as evidence and summoned a witness under a subpoena. This witness presented video evidence that was publicly viewed within the courtroom.
To continue in his challenge of the declaration of President Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25 election, Obi, the petitioner, is poised to present evidence and call upon additional witnesses during the upcoming sessions of the Tribunal.
