“My wife and I are separated,We Don’t Live In The Same House, this is not a joke” – Basketmouth (Video)

Bright Okpocha, a Nigerian comedian better known by his stage name Basketmouth, has responded to people who think his divorce from Elsie was a farce.

Remember how the comedian and Elsie announced their divorce in a statement shared on social media in December 2022, 12 years after getting married. however, others initially thought it was a joke.

The father of four stated in a recent interview that he is currently separated from his wife, but he would not elaborate.

According to him,

“I am separated right now. People thought it was a joke but it wasn’t. People said is that a way of promoting a show and I’m like you definitely do not know my design.
I do not bring my private matter on a public space. But it was something I needed to do for reasons best known to me. And yes. We were cool. Everything is fine. We completed 12 years.”
