Kansas Man, Colton Bond Identified as Victim Dead in Coffeeville Triple-Fatal Crash Involving Steer
Colton Bond Crash: Colton James Bond, of Edna, Kansas, has been identified as the victim in a Friday night triple-fatal vehicle crash in Labette County, Kansas.
In a crash with a Steer in the road, Colton Bond, 21, and family members Jimmy Bond, 81, and Barbara Bond, 79, died near Coffeeville on Friday night.
According to accounts, at approximately 11:46 p.m. on Friday, the family was driving a Dodge Ram pickup truck on US-166 about six miles east of Coffeeville when it collided with a steer in the road.
The truck then veered across the middle line and collided directly with a semi-tractor.
The family’s blunt force trauma injuries sustained in the collision were declared fatal.
Minor injuries were sustained by the semi’s driver.
The accident’s cause is still being looked into.
