In loving memory of Logan Blueher, Terre Haute South High School student killed in train-car collision in southern Vigo County

A train and automobile collision in southern Vigo County claimed the life of a student from Terre Haute South High School.

Sheriff John Plasse of Vigo County reports that the collision happened close to E. Harlan Drive and Bono Road just before 3:20 p.m. The single occupant of the SUV, the driver, was killed when it was struck by a train.

Logan Blueher, 19, has been named as the deceased by the sheriff.

Plasse stated that the investigation was aided by the Vigo County Coroner and the fatal crash team.

“We pride ourselves in being a family and yesterday we tragically lost a member of our South Braves family in an accident,” South Vigo High School wrote in a statement shared on social media. “Logan Blueher was a Senior who was scheduled to graduate in two weeks and attend Purdue University in the Fall. Logan was funny, smart, and loyal. He loved his car, his friends, and most of all, he loved animals.”
