Former member of Scare Dem Crew, Boom Dandimite died on Sunday morning in a hospital in the U.S. following a car accident back in April on Half Way Tree road.
Late in April, an accident happened on Half Way Tree Road next to a well-known bakery. Wilful Skilful, a rising deejay, also suffered injuries in the incident.
Wilful Skilful was released and returned home, but Dandimite was admitted to the hospital. Boom Dandimite, whose true name is Herman Stewart, was released from the hospital a few days later.
In the 1990s, Boom Dandimite founded the Scare Dem Crew with his mates Nitty Kutchie, Harry Toddler, and Elephant Man. The group was closely associated with Bounty Killer, who would accompany them on tours to make sure they received publicity. Several of their tracks, including Pure Gal and Many Many, were successes.
Additionally, he was scheduled to perform as part of the Boombox 90’s Badness on Reggae Sumfest on July 21 with artists like General B, Harry Toddler, Jigsy King, Mega Banton, Nitty Kutchie, Silver Cat, and Tony Curtis.
