“I thought I was going to Play the Character Of Gift” – Actress Bimbo Ademoye speaks on her role in ‘Gangs of lagos’

The well-known Nollywood performer Bimbo Ademoye has shared her thoughts on the recently released Nollywood movie “Gangs of Lagos,” in which she starred.

She had previously worked with the producer on the movie “Sugar Rush,” which she considered to be a good experience, therefore she expressed her joy when receiving the screenplay for the picture.

She didn’t read the script since she was so sure the movie was going to be great.

But after finally reading the screenplay, Bimbo Ademoye learned that she had been chosen for the character of Teni, which she had not anticipated.

The fact that Bimbo could so easily identify with the character Gift led her to initially believe she would play that role. She examined the cast members’ names again to be sure there was no mistake.

She made a couple more calls in an effort to confirm the casting, but she was assured that it was accurate.

She was told by the producers that although fans had expected her to play a role akin to Gift, they had instead placed her in a different role.

So Ademoye embraced the challenge and did her best to embody Teni.

Nigerian reality television star Cum Disc jockey Tolani Baj has clarified her contentious remarks regarding guys and club dancing.

Tolani Baj said she didn’t mean people couldn’t dance or have a good time in clubs; she only meant they had to do it moderately in an interview with media personality Jermaine on his podcast, BTS Reality.

She revealed that she had observed a pattern in the violent behaviour of poor guys in Nigerian bars.

She said;

“If you’re going to have fun, don’t do too much. Be cool with it, have swag, don’t be razz. When you already know you’re all that and you don’t feel the need to prove anything in the club, that speaks volume. Men that have money don’t really like attention. If you’re are doing gra gra in the club and you want to show attention, I already know that your are broke”
