Last year on Christmas Eve morning, 35-year-old Anthony Michael Lee was discovered deceased in the garden of a former vicarage located in Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield. The body was discovered by the homeowner, who was shocked and immediately alerted her husband and the police.

According to an inquest, the individual had sustained various injuries, such as a lacerated spleen, internal bleeding, rib fractures, and a brain contusion. In addition, he had been experiencing liver disease.

During the proceedings at Bradford Coroner’s Court, the circumstances that preceded Anthony’s death were presented. According to sources, he had reportedly visited a friend’s residence the day before and was allegedly under the influence of alcohol while displaying signs of emotional distress.

According to her statement, Anthony had consumed strong beer and Bacardi and was reportedly upset due to the loss of loved ones during the Christmas season.

According to Samantha, Anthony had discussed his Christmas plans and subsequently got up to leave at approximately 9pm. According to her, he had fallen into a clothes horse after stumbling.

According to Beverley Clegg, the mother of Anthony, he was a cheerful child who played rugby for Underbank in Holmfirth and later worked as a window cleaner.

According to Beverley’s statement, her son resided with her and was a father to a six-year-old child. According to her statement, Anthony began drinking in 2019 and the situation escalated during the Covid pandemic.

According to her statement, Anthony was reportedly “always in a better place” when he was employed, but when he was out of work, he tended to consume more alcohol. Beverley reported that her son had been experiencing mental health issues and anxiety since the onset of the Covid pandemic.

According to toxicology tests, Anthony’s blood alcohol level was 331 milligrams, which is over four times the legal limit for driving under the influence. According to assistant coroner Ian Pears, the number 331 is significant and dangerously close to a level that could result in fatality on its own.

According to a doctor who conducted the toxicology tests, the results indicated a state of “profound intoxification.”

According to Mr. Pears, suicide has been ruled out as a possibility in the case of Anthony’s death. Mr. Pears believes that Anthony had an accident and lost control.

According to Ian, the father of Anthony, he testified at the hearing that he thinks his son fell backward from a low wall while trying to sit down.

According to Mr. Pears, he stated that the individual in question has acquired their injuries through some form of tumbling.

According to the coroner, Anthony’s death was attributed to injuries sustained after he lost control and fell into a wire fence while drinking.

According to the report, the verdict of accidental death was recorded by the official. However, it was noted that the exact time of the accident could not be determined.

According to the speaker, they accept that the individual in question may have performed the action prior to midnight.
