Firefighters hospitalized as Fire destroys Glendale home

In the early hours of Thursday morning, a fire ravaged a home in Glendale, resulting in the displacement of multiple residents and hospitalization of a firefighter.

According to Linda Rider from Glendale Fire, a fire ignited from debris in the backyard of a neighborhood near 51st Avenue and Thunderbird, which then extended into the home.

According to Rider, the fire went into a defensive mode and the crews successfully prevented it from spreading to neighboring houses.

According to fire officials, the four individuals residing in the house, along with their dog and tortoise, were able to evacuate the premises and are anticipated to be unharmed.
