Fatal Crash In North Shelby County Leaves 1 Dead And Another Injured

The identity of the victim in the crash has been released by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office as Carey Walls, a 60-year-old resident of Munford.

A fatal accident occurred in north Shelby County on Saturday night, resulting in the death of one individual and injury of another.

According to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office, a three-vehicle collision occurred in the 7600 block of Pleasant Ridge Road, located east of Ricks Road, at approximately 9 p.m. Deputies were dispatched to the scene.

At the scene, one person was pronounced dead. A second individual was reportedly transported to Regional One in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
