On Saturday, a Canadian landlord fatally shot a young engaged couple, Carissa MacDonald and Aaron Stone, who were residing in his building. The couple was brutally murdered before the landlord was shot and killed by police.
As per the Hamilton police, a 57-year-old individual shot and killed Carissa MacDonald and Aaron Stone, who were renters, outside a residence in Stoney Creek, Ontario on Saturday evening. According to officials, when authorities arrived at 322 Jones Road around 5:40 p.m., both MacDonald, 27, and Stone, 28, were already deceased.
As per the statement of Hamilton Det. Sgt. Steve Berezuik, the couple was shot while they were “fleeing the residence”, as reported by CBC News. He declared that they are truly innocent victims. The individual expressed that the situation is terrible.
After the arrival of law enforcement officials, the landlord, whose name was not disclosed, barricaded himself inside the residence and obtained multiple firearms that were registered under his name. Mediators attempted to persuade him to surrender peacefully for several hours.
