According to police, Anthony Michael Corrado, a man from Florida, was apprehended after he requested his housekeeper to clean up the bloody crime scene where he allegedly beat his grandmother to death with a hammer.
In a recent incident, Anthony Michael Corrado, aged 34, has been accused of assaulting an 82-year-old woman and severely beating his grandfather inside their residence located in a gated community in Naples on Wednesday.
According to reports, the grandmother had an active order for protection against Corrado, who was released from prison last year, due to his prior violent history.
According to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Naples Daily News, Corrado reportedly called a housekeeper at around 2:30 p.m. to assist him in cleaning up a “real mess” inside a Golden Gate Estates home, after allegedly bludgeoning his grandmother.
According to reports, Corrado guided her through the blood-stained residence, eventually arriving at a bedroom where his grandmother’s disfigured body was discovered wrapped in a tarp.
According to reports, Corrado has reportedly committed another act of violence against his grandfather.
In addition, the woman was found with a bag covering her head. According to the documents, when the housekeeper attempted to remove it, Corrado reportedly intervened and warned that doing so “would get blood everywhere.”
According to reports, the man purportedly requested that she remove the body from the residence. According to reports, the housekeeper urged Corrado to contact the police, but he allegedly declined, citing “I’ll go back to prison.”
A housekeeper reportedly escaped a bloody scene by pretending to retrieve cleaning supplies from her car. She then flagged down a Collier County Sheriffs’ deputy for assistance.
According to reports, during that time, Corrado reportedly subjected his grandfather to renewed violence upon the latter’s return from a trip to the grocery store. A man who had been brutally attacked was discovered by the police in a different room of the house.
The victim was found wrapped in a blanket and had sustained severe head injuries. According to sources, the individual was transported via air to a medical facility located in Fort Myers. It has been reported that the individual’s condition is expected to improve.
According to reports, a bloody hammer was discovered by deputies on the kitchen countertop, and blood was observed to have been sprayed on the walls and floors of the residence.
According to the affidavit, Corrado was found standing outside the residence completely covered in blood, including his shirt, shorts, boots, both shins, and forehead. The individual accused of the homicide declined to communicate with law enforcement officials.
A man has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and aggravated battery on a person over age 65. The motive for the savage crime has not been revealed by the police.
