Anderson Middle School teacher, Amanda Hicks Dies From Murder-Suicide
Amanda Hicks Death: The 26-year-old teacher at a middle school in Stuart who perished in a potential murder-suicide in an apartment with an undamaged crying newborn has been named as Amanda Hicks, the Martin County School District reported on Sunday.
Amanda Hicks was an instructor at Stuart’s Anderson Middle School. Police in Port St. Lucie believe the man killed the woman and then killed himself while they were having a love relationship. The CIA has not yet confirmed either person’s names.
Lt. Keith Boham stated in a news release that a family member of a male residing at the apartment complex, Peacock Run, in the 5500 block of Northwest East Torino Parkway, west of Florida’s Turnpike, requested that police do a welfare check.
Police from Port St. Lucie broke down the barred home door and removed the wailing baby from its cradle. The baby is now staying with a relative.
The guy and woman’s deaths were not described in the press release.
Boham stated that no other potential suspects were being sought by detectives.
