The identity of the woman who was fatally shot in her Kettering residence earlier this week has been disclosed by the Montgomery County Coroner.
In a media release on Thursday, Montgomery County Coroner Dr. Kent Harshbarger identified the victim found dead in her home on Tuesday afternoon as Sierra Still, 28, who resided in the 2500 block of California Avenue.
According to Harshbarger, the cause and manner of death of Still are currently being investigated by the coroner’s office.
According to reports, Kettering police were contacted by deputies at the Montgomery County Jail regarding a man who had arrived at the facility claiming to have been involved in a domestic altercation with his wife, resulting in her sustaining injuries.
Kettering authorities have launched a death investigation following a welfare check. Photos of the scene have been released.
According to reports, law enforcement officials responded to a residence on California Avenue where they discovered the lifeless body of Still in the bathroom. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
A suspect has not been identified by the police yet, but Taveon Glenn, aged 27, was taken into custody and processed at the Montgomery County Jail on Tuesday, shortly before 5 p.m.
According to online court records filed today at Kettering Municipal Court, Glenn has been charged with two counts of murder and two counts of felonious assault.
