Angel Smith, a Big Brother Naija contestant, appears to have taken a shot at her co-star Cross Okonkwo after he disclosed that he spoke with PDP presidential contender Abubakar Atiku.
On Tuesday, June 1, Cross took to Twitter to publish a snapshot of a video call he made with the presidential candidate, referring to him as his “dad.”
“Had a quick chat with my dad @atiku, he’s one of the funniest individuals I’ve ever met.” He wrote, “Who do you think his Vp will be simply thinking out loud.”
Angel reportedly responded by saying that anyone who accepts money from a politician in order to influence the people should be ashamed of themselves.
In this critical era, the 22-year-old writer believes that celebrities should not put their love for money ahead of what is right.
She wrote on Twitter,
“If you’re collecting money from Nigerian politicians to sway the public during this time, you should be embarrassed of yourself.” Nigeria is at a crossroads, and one wrong step might spell disaster. Pick your morals over your greed.
I find it amusing that you people are aware that people, young and old, have been k*lled as a result of the endsars movement, and yet you chose to collect money in order to urge the masses to vote for these people.
