When I had nowhere to go, Atiku treated me like a son — #BBNaija Cross Reveals

Atiku Abubakar, a presidential candidate, has been described as taking care of former Big Brother Naija housemate Cross Okonkwo like a son when he had nowhere else to go.

Cross, who calls Atiku his father, said he has lived with the presidential candidate and has provided for him to a considerable extent.

“I’ve known Atiku for a very long time. I’ve shared a bed with his kids and lived with them. He took me in when I had nowhere else to go. He also mentioned that he had somewhat taken care of me.

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s nominee for president, was recently referred to as your father by you. Why did you characterise him that way?

He (Atiku) is someone I’ve known for a long time. I’ve lived with him and his kids and we’ve slept in the same bed. He took me in when I didn’t have else to go. He has also given me some degree of care. The fundamental meaning of family is that. I am extremely familiar with him, and I think he cares about young people. He is the best presidential candidate, in my opinion.

When I tweeted that Atiku was my father, I was assaulted, and I was confused as to why.

Some people claim you did so in order to obtain financial advantage by calling him your father. To that, how do you respond?

It will be for the good of my constituency if I ever enter politics. But I’m not interested in running for office because I don’t want to be derided. I’ve never taken donations to support a political candidate, and I’m unable to receive money from Atiku.
