Following a shooting in the Hazelwood neighborhood, a guy has passed away.
A patrolling East Precinct Sergeant was flagged down at Northeast 122nd Avenue and Northeast Wasco Street on May 12, 2023, at 11:46 p.m. A wounded individual was pointed out to the sergeant just to the east of the intersection. The victim was already dead when the sergeant called for EMS. According to preliminary inquiry, the man was shot.
No suspects were found right away, and no one has been taken into custody.
Detectives from the Portland Police Homicide Unit arrived at the site and are conducting an investigation.
Khamori V. Loving, 41, was shot and killed on Thursday night in the Hazelwood neighborhood.
