A deadly collision that occurred in Waeel this morning and claimed the life of a truck driver is being looked into by WA Police.
An Isuzu truck with a trailer was involved in an accident on the Great Eastern Highway at Mount Anne Road at about 1:10 in the morning between Meckering and Cunderdin. The truck collided with a tree and a water pipe before catching fire.
Authorities have verified that a 64-year-old male truck driver died at the site after suffering grave injuries in the collision.
Major disaster investigators are pleading with members of the public who observed the truck driving in the area prior to the collision or who witnessed the disaster to come forward.
