Early on Saturday morning, a shooting at a residence in Lee’s Summit claimed the life of an 18-year-old man, according to the local police force.
At one in the morning, police were called to a house in the 2300 block of SE King Street due to reports of gunfire.
When they arrived, officers discovered the man inside, dead from a gunshot wound. According to police, the man and a few pals were inside the house when the shooting started.
The 18-year-old victim was identified by Lee’s Summit police as Dakota Wrightsman. Investigators are currently interviewing the group to find out what caused the shooting.
According to the agency, nobody was detained, and police weren’t looking for a suspect.
