Suspect Arrested After St. Anthony Church Road Shooting; Victim Identified

The identity of the man who was fatally shot in Louisville has been released, and authorities have apprehended a suspect in connection with the incident.

On Sunday at approximately 11:30 p.m., Louisville Metro police officers were summoned to the 7400 block of St. Anthony Church Road. They found that a man had been shot and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has reported that Victor Chavez, aged 52, has passed away due to his injuries.

Louisville resident Carlos Emilio Galeano-Figueroa, 34, was arrested on Monday by the Louisville Metro Police Department Homicide Unit for murder and robbery charges. The unit had initiated an investigation into the matter.

According to a witness, the suspect allegedly stole his car at gunpoint following a dispute with the shooting victim. The incident was reported to the police.
