In Guadalupe on Friday night, a man was killed in a shooting involving an officer.
At approximately 9:40 p.m., Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to investigate reports of an individual carrying a firearm in the vicinity of Calle Guadalupe and the Highland canal.
Unfortunately, further details are currently unavailable. Upon arrival, law enforcement officials attempted to make contact with Tomas Ramirez-Martinez, who is 42 years of age.
An officer-involved shooting occurred at that moment. According to reports, Ramirez-Martinez was transported to a nearby medical facility with injuries that were deemed life-threatening. Tragically, he later passed away. There were no other reported injuries.
