Shawn Clarke Identified As Missing Victim Of Homicide In Surrey

The victim of a recent homicide in Surrey has been identified by investigators. The man was discovered deceased in an alley and had been reported missing earlier this month.

According to a statement released on Friday by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, the body discovered on Wednesday has been identified as belonging to 49-year-old Shawn Clarke.

According to a media release, a spokesperson stated that based on the information gathered thus far, there seems to be no connection to the B.C. gang conflict.

According to authorities, a “suspicious” death was reported near 103A Avenue and Old Yale Road around 5 p.m., prompting police to respond to the scene.

According to a previous statement from the local RCMP detachment, Clarke was last seen in Surrey on April 18 and reported missing on May 1. The statement also noted that it was “out of character for him to be out of contact.”
